I just got back from Langkawi yesterday evening with my aunt & cousin and yes, it was quite fun for me! FYI, it's my 2nd time there already. We left for Langkawi at around 8.30am from the airport and reached 35 minutes later. It had been yearsssss ever since I sat on an airplane, so I felt a lil dizzy and sick that day. But all was well after we landed. We took a taxi down to Hotel Lanai which was located at Pantai Tengah. The hotel wasn't like what I expected but oh well, at least it was clean, decent and not run-down. It's kinda like a basic hotel for us to wash up and rest. I still prefer Porto Malai though.
We arrived in the hotel around 10.30am and we got to check in around 11.30 thanks to their efficient service. FYI, checking in time is normally 2pm. So yea, we went to our hotel room to get some rest before we headed out for lunch. We ended up in Langkawi Fair instead of Parade Megamall due to some misinterpretation with the taxi man. LOL. Had a decent lunch; laksa which looks and tasted like curry mee for my aunt and cousin whereas for me, I had sandwich. Walked around and realised that their things are like OMGWTFBBQ *speechless* stuff. We decided to go to the real Parade Megamall by BUS NO.11 because the waitress in the cafe told us that it was only 15 minutes walk. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near 15 minutes walk. We walked for 20 minutes but still had no sight of any malls. So we decided to stop a taxi and got into it. Zzz, stupid waitress. Had quite a nice time there because there was this duty free shop there which sells liquors and chocolates at a really cheap price! :O Didn't buy much though on that day because it was only the first day. Heh.
Ok, so we headed back to the hotel for a swim and dinner. Then, rested early.
